Write A Letter to Camp Fire's Chair!

In your letter, consider one of these points:

What a loss for Camp Fire/El Tesoro
Point out their decision could have an effect on the capital campaign
Address the positive role model Toni has been to you/your children, etc.

This blog was set up by supporters of Toni Hooten.

Our friend, colleague, camp director,
Toni Hooten was suddenly dismissed from her position and camp director duties at Camp Fire / El Tesoro on August 20, 2010.

WE ARE NOT OKAY WITH HOW SHE WAS RELEASED FROM THE PROGRAM!

Many folks are deeply hurt/upset/angry with this decision.
Many find it especially insensitive. Camp Fire did not distribute this information properly to its volunteers, alumni, camp staff and campers, nor has there been word of a "Farewell" reception from the Council.

Toni has been affiliated with First Texas Camp Fire for over 30+ years and dedicated her life to directing camp El Tesoro for the past 11 years. Those who know Toni truly recognize her talents and the remarkable gifts she brings. Toni has an ability to reach and empower every child that was in her program. A HUGE loss for us all.
